Secondary Glazing Magnetic Windows are an inventive, cost-effective approach to decrease heat loss and energy expenditure. Our Glazing Panels are constructed from 4mm Clear Acrylic and a coloured 25mm wide edge is applied to obscure the magnetic strip and adhesive from view.

Pre-applied premium magnetic strips ensure a good seal with minimum installation time.  We manufacture our own premium colour-coordinated stainless steel strips to guard against corrosion, and pre-apply a thick very high bond adhesive tape to ensure a superior adhesion to your window frame and a strong draft seal.

Our secondary glazing has been designed and made in our factory, using pre-applied premium materials to reduce your time and ease of installation. We do not supply common Ferrous metal tape compared to other sellers of secondary glazing kits, as in our experience it does not provide a good magnetic surface or adhere well to window frames and the tape can curl, which makes it unsuitable for this application.

Each panel is supplied in its own cardboard sleeve and named with the room reference you provide, so that you can remove the panels in the warmer months and easily store and protect them for the following winter.

Please note:
When entering your window frame sizes, reduce size to allow a 10mm gap between Acrylic and walls for easy installation.

How to install

Your kit will come with pre cut coloured magnetic stainless steel strips with premium moisture resistant adhesive tape on the reverse. The quality of the adhesive allows for small height variations of the window joints. Pre cutting stainless steel provides a long term rust free solution with better seal and faster installation. 

1. Ensure your window frame is clean and dry and any flaking of paint should be made smooth prior to installation.

2. Check size and orientation of each metal strip fits the correct window before peeling.

3. Unpeel one strip at a time and press firmly onto the window frame ensuring the metal strips are placed together to form a seal. The adhesive is pressure activated, and full strength is achieved within 24 hours.

4. Place your acrylic window onto your newly installed stainless steel frame, and remove the protective film.

Care Guide

When cleaning acrylic take care to not use glass cleaner or similar products due to their abrasive nature. Use an anti-static cloth and warm soapy water or anti-static cleaner.
